Our client is seeking a Trainee Fund Accountant to join their team.
Working as part of a team, to assist with all aspects of accounting for a group of various private equity and real estate funds, along with corporate clients. The role will include the production of high-quality materials and timely responses to client queries.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Work as part of a team alongside directors, managers and fund administrators;
- Responding to ad-hoc investor and client queries;
- Bookkeeping and assisting with the financial reporting process via the preparation of quarterly investor reporting and annual financial statements;
- Liaising with lawyers, directors, other administrators and regulatory authorities in relation to ad hoc transactions;
- Liaising with external independent auditors in connection with the financial reporting process and sign-off;
- Preparing reconciliations across subsidiaries in various jurisdictions;
- Preparing and issuing drawdown and distribution notices;
Knowledge & Experience:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills are essential, with excellent attention to detail as well as accurate and timely completion of work;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strategic thinking with an emphasis on relationship building and communication at all levels within an organisation to facilitate and coordinate multiple deadlines through the maintenance of a cohesive team;
- Ability to be self-motivated and produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects required;
