At Excel we understand the value of temporary recruitment from both candidates and clients. Temporary does not mean lower quality, far from it, our approach remains the same, simply placing the right candidate with the right opportunity.

From maternity cover, absence through illness to the need for additional shorter tem resource required to support time critical projects, the importance of temporary staff in meeting your strategic goals must not be underestimated. In a constantly changing environment, organisations need to flexible and adaptable and therefore will on occasion require quickly deployed professionals that are trustworthy, reliable and skilled. At Excel we have been a reliable provider of high quality temporary candidates since we started some 25 years' ago. 

We are individual members of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) which means we operate within a code of practice with strict standards in terms of the suitability of our staff.  Our candidates are fully screened and we ensure a full induction briefing at the start of every assignment to allow us to deliver staff who are effective from their first day.

For the candidate

A specialised sector of recruitment requires specialist knowledge. Temporary staff are a vital element of business as well as being a way of working that meets the needs of many of our candidates. You may choose to work on a temporary basis but we consider you to be a permanent part of our team. We’ll make sure that you're receiving the best possible rates available for your work.

Our promise….we will:

 

  • Always pay your wages directly into your bank account at the beginning of each week
  • Pay you the equivalent of 2 weeks paid holiday per year, pro-rated according to the length of time that you work
  • Pay you for Bank Holidays if you are in a single, continuous assignment that runs over them
  • Ensure you get a direct line to your own recruitment consultant
  • Give you a full induction briefing, with training as necessary, at the start of every assignment
  • Provide you with detailed information on the nature of the work being offered and the skills required
  • Liaise with you regularly to ensure that you are being given assignments that best suit your capabilities, skills and aspirations.
  • Always be there to discuss any concerns you may have
  • Provide you with regular updates to understand you better and help you develop your skills in the direction and at the pace you want.
