Administrator, Funds Governance

Our client is seeking an Administrator, Funds Governance to join their team.

The postholder will have responsibility for collating and reviewing the due diligence for the client structures and their investors as well as assisting in the preparation of regulatory reports and performing regulatory monitoring on client fund structures. You will utilise your skills and experience to ensure that all requisite due diligence and tax transparency documentation and information is received, collated and recorded in line with AML / CFT and FATCA / CRS legislation.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the attainment, the subsequent review and in principle approval of all due diligence (in line with AML and CFT legislation) and tax transparency documentation and data (in accordance with FATCA and CRS obligations) (collectively “CDD”) on funds and related structures.
  • Attain the necessary CDD documentation and data to meet regulatory, liaising with the client service teams and / or the client / investor directly as appropriate.
  • Review the CDD documentation and data and prepare the appropriate checklists, satisfying yourself that all requirements have been met (or highlighting any discrepancies).
  • Complete regular CDD reviews of client structures and investors. (The frequency of reviews of CDD is based upon the risk assessment of each entity / investor.)
  • Ensure all high risk investors / clients are correctly identified as such and that enhanced due diligence procedures are implemented and adhered to throughout the life of the relationship.
  • Assist in the preparation of regulatory reporting for client entities.

Key Attributes

  • Demonstrate understanding and awareness of the AML / CFT and tax transparency requirements required to be met by regulated funds services’ businesses in Jersey.
  • Be required to confidently liaise with clients and investors on a day to day basis.
  • Possess an ability to disseminate information and respond quickly.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and ensure that all activity is undertaken in line with accepted professional standards.
  • Hold or be working towards an appropriate qualification and / or proven track record of work experience.
  • A working knowledge of FrontInvest or similar funds’ system will be an advantage.
