Assistant Manager, Governance

Our Client is seeking an Assistant Manager, Governance, to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support senior staff in the efficient and effective functioning of the team
  • Liaise closely across the business to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement, to ensure effective service delivery
  • Assume ownership, responsibility, and accountability for AML/CFT/CPF and Compliance elements of the services provided
  • Conduct compliance testing and prepare the required periodic compliance reports
  • Manage and maintain Client and Investor Due Diligence (CDD)
  • Oversee the client periodic review process and monitor external audit points
  • Develop and maintain systems and controls
  • Deliver a proactive client service while effectively managing operational and fiduciary risks

Key Requirements:

  • Recognised Professional Qualification - e.g. Accountancy, Chartered Secretary, STEP, Banking, Securities, Compliance or other relevant Table 5 qualification (working towards Table 5) along with relevant experience in AML/CFT/CPF and Financial Regulation
  • 3 years' relevant finance industry experience working within an offshore financial services organisation, with a good understanding of all areas of client administration and fiduciary services
  • A good knowledge and understanding of the local finance industry, legislation and regulatory requirements
