Associate Director/Director, Client Services

Our client has an opportunity for someone to join their Structured Finance team.

You'll work closely with the Structured Finance Jersey Head on the ongoing development and management of our structured finance corporate services in Jersey.  You will be involved in the management of client services in a manner that is consistent with the firm's vision, values and strategy, is compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements and meets best practice in corporate governance.

You'll support, and work in collaboration with, the Jersey Head, ensuring that Governance Services remains appropriately integrated with the rest of the network and operate in a manner consistent with the firm's 'one-firm' approach. You would be requested to take on directorships and act as authorised signatory of client entities.

About the role

  • Effectively manage the day-to-day activities of the structured finance team to include timely and accurate work, meeting deadlines, managing WIP and debt.
  • Ensure consistency of client service levels across the structured finance team and deal swiftly with any identified issues.
  • Ensure that all structured finance team members have an understanding of the transactions they are working on, provide technical support and training to them as and when required.
  • Ensure the structured finance team is running efficiently and that client expectations are properly managed and valuable relationships are nurtured so as to preserve and maintain our reputation and the potential for repeat work and referrals.
  • In collaboration with the Jersey Head, define roles and responsibilities within the team, providing clear communication on expectations and setting objectives aligned to strategic priorities for all levels. 
  • Act as a leader and role model to all colleagues and assist with developing the structured finance team of motivated, highly proficient governance professionals who act in accordance with the firm's values.
  • Become a got-to expert on the firm's policies & procedures and uphold them at all times.

About you

  • Proven corporate administration experience at a senior level 
  • A relevant professional qualification (such as CGI, STEP or ACCA)
  • Ability to manage and prioritise tasks, time and people in order to meet deadlines
  • Highly-developed interpersonal skills; a real team player
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Pro-active and service-orientated approach
  • Drive, ambition, an objective-setter who achieves goals
  • Highly-developed skills in (a) identifying risk, especially foreign tax risk, complex fiduciary risk and financial crime risk and (b) managing such risk, including by obtaining, understanding and implementing advice
