Bookkeeper, Client Accounting
Our Client is seeking a Bookkeeper on a Contract basis.
Responsibilities include:
- Undertaking day-to-day bookkeeping from source documents including banking systems, bank statements, investment valuations, property statements and minutes, along with other sources of information.
- Reviewing entity ledgers and bookkeeping records in advance of accounts preparation by accounts preparers.
- Notifying administration staff of bookkeeping errors or non-compliance with specific bookkeeping procedures and providing corrective measures and guidance.
- Assisting administrative staff with queries related to bookkeeping.
- Liaising with administrators or third parties regarding information required as necessary.
- Provision of periodic reporting on clients where necessary.
Key Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
- Sufficient competence in the analysis, posting and reconciliation of third-party valuations and statements.
- Ability to reconcile ledgers with VAT returns and statements received from tax authorities.
- Basic knowledge of Jersey Trust and Company law/practice.
