Human Resources Manager

Our Client has a great opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join their Human Resources Team.

This is a broad-ranging senior HR role covering business partnering, employee relations, process and policy matters, data, permanent and operational risk control, and reporting, with a particular focus on business partnering and employee relations. In addition, the Human Resources Manager deputises for the Head of Human Resources in their absence and provides ongoing coaching and mentoring of the more junior members of the Human Resources Team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing HR support and advice to all line managers and employees and assisting in maintaining good employee relations whilst monitoring the ‘social’ climate. 
  • Dealing effectively with any issues of performance, capability, absence, disciplinary, and grievance in line with best practice and internal and Group procedures.
  • Providing support and counselling to employees and resolving conflict where required.
  • Playing a key role in restructuring projects such as redundancy and redeployment. 
  • Maintaining local Employee Handbook in line with policy / procedural updates and ensuring local employment legislation is respected.
  • Ensuring all HR records/databases (local & Group) are up-to-date and accurate promptly respecting in-house procedures and governance, and creating and maintaining checklists and processes as required.
  • Conducting mid-probation check-ins with both new employees as well as their line manager, ensuring a good employee experience, and supporting managers with any concerns.
  • Manage the Group talent program for the local population.


  • 5-7 years’ experience in a HR role.
  • Minimum CPP-qualified.
  • Strong technical knowledge of a wide scope of HR practices.
  • Good understanding of local legislation, and regulatory regimes relating to Jersey and Guernsey.
