Our client is seeking a Senior Accounts Preparer to join their team. 

The private clients and accounting departments are growing and therefore the role will require an individual who can respond dynamically to changing requirements to manage various requirements concurrently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for an allocated portfolio of clients and prepare annual financial statements, management accounts and other ad-hoc financial reporting from the accounting records of the client entities as maintained by the administrator or bookkeeper
  • Liaise with the appointed Auditors to complete the audit of financial statements in accordance with defined timetables
  • Liaise with clients to ensure efficient delivery of output and client service expectations
  • Provide additional bookkeeping and administrative assistance to other members of the accounting and administration teams as may from time to time be requested
  • Provide support to the accounting management team on policies and procedures to enable the team to work more efficiently

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • The post holder will hold appropriate accounting qualifications (e.g. ACCA/ACA) or be suitably qualified by virtue of relevant experience
  • Finance Industry and or Accounting/Auditing experience within or with exposure to the private clients and family office environment is essential
  • Significant experience of preparing trust accounts, especially for real estate and financial instruments holding structures and accounting at asset holding level
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current IFRS/UK GAAP (FRS 102) reporting and experience in accounting for a range of private clients and family office structures
  • Experience with Access, CaseWare and Value Financials would be desirable
