Our client is seeking a Senior Manager, Fund Administration to join their team.
You'll be taking on specific responsibilities for managing complex client structures and providing support to colleagues on the existing portfolio of clients and other new business opportunities. The type of structures you will be involved with will include Jersey limited partnerships, Jersey unit trusts and Jersey limited liability companies. You will be managing and working closely alongside a team of fund administrators and fund accountants, whilst reporting to a Director.

About the role
- Assist with the preparation of new client proposals / fee quotes and participate in new business pitches
- Assist with the take-on and the transfer-in of new business, in accordance with the firm's policies and procedures
- Administer a portfolio of fund clients, respective management companies and associated fund structures, ensuring that client relationships and transactions are managed efficiently, to a high standard
- Ensure the processing of routine and ad-hoc fund operations, including drawdowns, distributions, transfers of interest, closings and equalisations
- Co-ordinate company secretarial matters, including board meeting preparation, attendance and ensure that the minutes are distributed in a timely manner, in line with the funds' team KPIs
- Ensure the preparation, review, distribution and filing of annual financial statements on a timely basis and in accordance with regulatory guidelines and co-ordinate with the fund accounting team on investor reporting and the audit process
- Effectively monitor and manage the day-to-day tasks and workload of employees reporting to you to ensure accurate processing of work and that transaction deadlines are met
- Act as a mentor and ensure that your team members have an understanding of what transactions they are working on, providing technical support and training to them as required
- Support the career development of the employees reporting to you and manage the objective setting, review and appraisal process
- Act as a role model to all employees, support peers and as part of your wider role in the Governance Services' Manager group, assist the leadership team
About you - essential requirements
- Proven fund experience, preferably administration and company secretarial experience (minimum of 7-10 years)
- Holding a relevant chartered secretary or chartered governance qualification (or ACCA / legal qualifications)
- Having strong knowledge of Jersey's Funds, Partnership, Company, AML, economic substance and tax regulation and legislation, and have proven experience in Jersey funds, corporate and tax filings
- Have an understanding of identifying risk, in particular foreign tax risk, complex fiduciary risk and financial crime risk, including managing such risk
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft desktop software
- Knowledge of specialist software e.g. PCS (Investran), Document Management Systems and Viewpoint would be an advantage
