Our Client is seeking a Senior Risk Assistant to join their team

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Risk & Compliance Senior Leadership team in maintaining and embedding the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• Coordinate and prepare updates to the Risk Appetite Statement, ensuring metrics are monitored, escalated and reported appropriately
• Prepare high-quality risk MI and reports for the Executive Risk Committee and Board Risk Committee
• ​Track and monitor risk events, incidents and near misses, ensuring timely escalation and follow-up actions
• Assist in the identification, assessment and monitoring of key risks
• Support the CRO in the effective operation of risk governance forums
• Assist the CRO in interactions with the regulator, including preparation for supervisory reviews and thematic visits and support regulatory submissions
• Support the CRO in implementing improvements

Key Requirements:

• Experience in risk management within a regulated financial services environment (banking preferred, but other areas considered)
• Good understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks and risk appetite concepts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear Board-level papers
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Confidence to engage with senior stakeholders and provide appropriate challenge
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a small team environment
